Jewelry for Fishes

I ám working at a serie of plates with fish images dressed up with jewelry and I 'borrowed 'Obama 's family name as an example for a frontdoor name plate.Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.Rob

Yes we can(...smile)

I plan to do a portrait of Obama. Also I ám working at a surreal piece with a steamtrain,a horse, and continents. With the concept text 'Iron horses are animals too'.That is true the engine of the train has the same strenght as 3000 horses.Rob

Animals are People too

People has often likeness with an animal,no wonder,People are animals too.The male chimp in my tile looks a bit like...?.Of course so there is any resemblance it is unintended and my fault.Next time I do a serious portrait .Rob

My First Grey Hair

I was a little suffering from psychological depression lately, and when looking in the mirrow I saw even a first grey hair!I don't like pills and the best way to halt

grey hair(and keep haircoloring away) is to tell myself everyday a joke. Here two versions of a clown;"the friends will be friends'' clown is ready and the ''My first grey hair''clown stills need a firing.Rob

Creative with Text

Often you see celebs interviewed before a wall with brands names behind.I wonder if I could use this concept with texts in combination with my 'pets'.Here an example.I made the tile on commission in a maximum serie of 100 pieces, textures are with each piece different and are handpainted clayslip.Click on the image, the resolution of the larger image is 1000*750 pixels.Rob

Our cute little Dog...

Tile for the front door.Even bears go on the run when they read the text. Our cute little dog is scaring unwanted visitors only because he is family of the wolf! The piece is a silkscreen print with relief texture.Rob

Getting Roots in the Traffic Jam

I ám now able to realise thin clay threads in my pendants. They can be used to make roots for toadstools;the mycelium.I wonder if the same can be done with objects (cars or buildings)Maybe it looks stupid;a traffic jam with cars that developping roots or a windmill with roots.Another variant for the clay threads are spider webs.Rob
