Wet in Wet

I try to combine sculpting and painting techniques.A sculpting technique which I like to investigate further for the next year is sculpting in a wet surface (in a gel for example).Here an experiment;the upper image is a (hi-res)detail of the under image.

Here a seahorse carriage with texture.I 'plugged' the piece in my latest digital work which is called 'underwater traffic'.

Light and Dark

My pieces came out a little bleach after firing.To accent the textures and to provide more contrast I decide to do an extra wash with dark ceramic inkt.Here they are with the inkt but I have to fire the pieces again.

The Textures last after Firing

Textures done with the slipapplicator and reliefpaste on a biscuit piece and then fired.I was curious if the textures would last after firing but everything goes ok.

A Fast Car in the Traffic Jam

When the turle and the haze do a race,the turtle wins the race though the haze is faster, but the haze does a little nap when he is close for the finish.Somehow this fairy tale reminds me of the daily traffic jam.

The circusactpiece is fired one time,and I consider to add a thick white outline around the piece.Here is a preview with the line done in photoshop.I hope the effect will last after firing.Same with the guitars of the muddyblues piece.
