A combination between Blue Foam and Ceramic in progress; 'the Roadmap'.My 'Laughing people are rich' piece is cut out, glued together, and is now ready.

Mosiac in Progress(2)

Further update;I have glued all the particles of the pink fish minimural, to a piece of plywood.With a figure saw I made that the plywood fits all the rounds of the ceramic design.I consider this piece now near ready.

With some of the upper small ceramic figures of 'the circus earth piece' I used blue foam behind the thin figures,to support.After the blue foam is again plywood for further support.With a hot wire the foam is made fit around the piece.I ám enthousiastic of working with the foam,a lot of forms are possible, it is very light weighted,and it allows working with very thin ceramic figures.

The small ceramic figures are drying very quick and they can be fired after a few hours!

Mosiac in Progress

Last week;I tried a few new mosiac and strass patterns on existing pieces,''the pink fish is dancing'' looks now different.The other mosiac is on blue foam and also in progress.

Changes

I have show the Dakota plane and the other plane before,but now they are added to this mural;industrial age.As long as they are not fixed with glaze or glue I can change the small pieces to other tiles or murals.Only when I sell the image I glued or glaze the parts together(if not missing,lol)

Flying Circus

Busy pieces with a lot of small particles;maybe the circuspiece need a flying elephant with big ears.With the other piece ,ballooncars,I did a few changes.

Comics

Ceramic is a good medium to make fun pieces; cartoon animals or clown themes,so a circusact in progress and a pink fish. About the circusact;the locomotive emission smokes colored figures, and the elephants blow the figures away like balls.

I like to more do more with text in my ceramics. For example a saying;The economy turns better then the earth,or something about global warming.

Traffic jam solution for the New Year;giant airbags so the emission of the car goes in the balloon,there is no polution anymore and cars could fly like zeppelins.

Bone China Plates

I have told about my plans to glued ceramic objects together with glaze.Above plate is a bone china plate bought in the store,the particles(fishes,etc.) are made by painting slip on a piece of plaster,then baked,and added to the plate(the particles are glued to the plate with a glaze).

Having a design ready before starting is always nice,but otherwise adding figures along the way (the several firings)is also possible.
