Small Paintings with Frame

Comercial tiles from the do it yourself store, which I cut into smaller tiles, are a good source for small ceramic (slip)paintings. After the cutting, a drawing with pen and inkt and slip painting follows. The frame and cloisonné of the tile, is done with the slipapplicator.Rob

Handshaking with a Cloud Figure

Sometimes there are very remarkable cloud figures in the sky,and I wonder what they have to tell. One of my clay figurine had the opportunity to shake hands with a cloud(the upper left tile).

I make the small pieces with a slip applicator. It is a very easy way to make figures on a piece of plaster.Once dry the plaster loose the figures and they can transfered to a tile or vase. With a brush and slip it is also possible to paint on plaster.

The Nothing to Wear Blues

The basic of the elf and the clothing doll are clay silhouettes, the head and the wings are added particles. It is fun to make clothes from ceramic, and dress the 'barbie' elf.I ám working at a small garderobe. Rob

The Wings of the Butterfly

Puzzling with the pendants gave some unexpected sculptures. Here a spaceclown and a butterfly.
It was fun to do the jacket of the clown.I plan to do more fabrics from ceramic.

Dutch Theme

Boats, windmills, water and beaches at a small scale. The pendants are inspired by old Dutch classic paintings.I paint them,in relief, with colored fat casting slip.Fun to do,and some good practice for the eastern eggs painting later this year.
